The main events for HLBF members and nominated horses are the shows that are hosted on a monthly basis.
We encourage everyone to participate. The rules regarding shows are described in the Rules & Guidelines.

and information about hosting your own HLBF-recognized show.

Monthly Shows
Shows are held every month. If you would like to host a HLBF-recognized show,
or would like to host one of the monthly shows, please contact Lija at americashorse@hotmail.com.
It is required that you use our classlist, but you may put your own twist on it.
If you decide to change any of the classlist, please submit it to the HLBF for approval.

Show Entry Rules

  1. Horses must be registered with the ER.
  2. If you have any questions, please ask before entering.
  3. Dogs are NOT allowed on the showgrounds.
  4. Smoking is allowed in designated areas only.
  5. No overshowing. Keep in mind that these are young horses, & cannot handle as much showing as an adult.
  6. Fees are due(in full) with entries.
  7. Entries must be entered in the format described below.
  8. Horses must be nominated with the HLBF in order to be eligible to compete and gain points towards titles and awards.
  9. Weanlings must be at least 6 months old to compete.
  10. Horses may compete with the HLBF until they are 5 y/o.
    When they turn 5, they are not eligible to compete anymore.
